Thailand is the world’s second-largest exporter of sugar, producing over 10 million metric tons annually, with more than 40% of this output exported. During the harvest season, sugar factories operate 24/7, which makes pump failures a frequent issue. To manage the high viscosity and minimize downtime, specialized, high-quality packing is essential.

The introduction of Robco’s 4259 and 4029 products has significantly improved efficiency in sugar factories, enabling critical systems to operate continuously for up to 3–5 months without downtime.

Pulp and paper have been Robco's specialty for the past 100 years. All of Robco's innovations stem from our extensive experience in the pulp and paper industry.

For example, our 4257 refinery pump features a unique design with inconel wire at the center of the packing to resist vibration. Additionally, we offer a variety of chemical-resistant packings that have been validated by our numerous pulp and paper clients over the past 30 years.

Cement is also a key industry in Thailand, with demand consistently outpacing domestic production capacity.

Our packing solutions are integral to the cement production process, particularly in the rotary kiln. With packing sizes exceeding 2 inches and a circumference over 70 feet, this is one of the most heavy-duty applications for any packing material. The packing must withstand high temperatures without hardening, as hardened packing can score the shaft, create condensation, lead to negative pressure, and cause heat loss in the kiln.
