High-quality synthetic yarn combines strength, chemical, and high-temperature resistance. The high percentage of colloidal PTFE fully saturates this stable yarn, resulting in a product that retains most of its original modulus up to 260C. It does not soften as temp. increase or become vulnerable to excessive deformation under high operating pressures. Its great suppleness allows it to seal with minimum gland follower pressure, thereby reducing friction and wear on both the sleeve and shaft.
It can be considered a good general purpose packing use on a broad range of chemical applications includes acid and alkalines 2-12, aliphatic-aromatic and naphthenic hydrocarbons, aldehydes, ketones, alcohols, petroleum oil, gases, etc.
