Sugar Mills in Thailand have undergone a huge upgrade in this couple of years, seeing new plantation from each leading company emerging throughout Thailand every year. This is because the ever more demand of sugar throughout the world. Even though Thailand's sugar production is less than China and Brazil, we rank second in the world in export annually whereas China's demand domestically exceeds there production and is dependent on imports. As sugar industries are rising so is there maintenance standard and quality control to meet up with the global standard (ISO).
Not long ago we would see workers scrapping up from the ground magma (molasses mix with syrup) which have a very high viscosity, back into the process without caring for preventing the leakage itself.
But with the introduction of Robco's gland packing No. 4259 which can withstand high shaft speed, high viscosity, sleeve wearing at Pump Manga and Pump C stops, we saw the improvement went up drastically. As shown in the picture a working pump magma with 0 leakage runs smoothly and workers don't need to clean the pile of mess it used to leave.
